A Long Over-Due Update of My Life

Well, it has been a very long time, indeed, since I've written on my blog. Obviously not very faithful at it. :(

A lot has happened since I've written last. Let's see here....the major things that has happened in my life lately. I've gone to school to be a Massage Therapist. Graduated June 8, 2012 from Northwest School of Massage in Kirkland, Washington. Took my National in September, passed, and now have my license. I'm officially an LMP (Licensed Massage Therapist). I'm trying to think of a name for a massage business.

Another major thing in my life...my husband and I finally bought our first house in July 2012. It's a nice place and well worth the seven months we had to wait for it to close because of it being a short sale.

Another thing I started doing in October 2012, was going to a friend's house and joining several others for an evening of arts and crafts. The group meets twice a month, but since it's a distance for me to travel, I've been going once a month. It's a great time to get together and have some fun making things and chatting about whatever.

I have no idea if you are looking up my blog anymore. Wouldn't blame you if you gave up, but if you happen to look at it again sometime, you will have an updated snip-it of my life.

Vegetarian/Vegan Adventure

I went to VegFest in Seattle today, and I stuffed myself on all sorts of samples.  Some of it was so delicious!  Some of it really tasted interesting.  I was hoping my stomach wouldn't get sick after eating things right after another that really didn't go well with each other, such as going from fruit gummies to fresh salsa with hot onions to some kind of fruit drink.  Yeah...well...my stomach turned out to be fine, but I'm sure it was thinking, "what are you going to swallow next?".

My New Toy

So, I went to Titus Will Ford (where I bought my car) today to get my oil changed and while I was waiting for it to be delivered back to me, Brandon and I looked at all the mustang stuff they had for sale.  I spotted this cute mustang mouse on the wall and had to have it.  Brandon fixed this picture on photo shop so you can see how close it resembles my real car.  Except for the fact that the mouse is a GT and my car isn't, I couldn't get much closer than that.  I love my new toy!  It's so much fun to use.  And it's wireless.  :)  Oh, and when you click the buttons, the headlights will light up.  Pretty cool, huh?

Exercise

I started my own workout plan this past Sunday.  I do it six days a week and rest on Saturday.  Alternating between weights and cardio workouts.  I'm so out of shape, but it feels good to work out.  I hope to keep this up for a while.  I always do it for a little while and then stop.  I'm off to a good start though, so we'll see how long I can keep it up this time.  :)

A Take On Life

If you are unable to find tranquility within yourself, it is useless to seek it elsewhere.

When you tell the truth to people who misunderstand you, you are only promoting a falsehood.

It is nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

A tree is known by its fruits, not by its leaves.

Never explain - your friends don't need it and your enemies will not believe it anyhow.

It you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

To be who you are, your nervous system must first be free of who you aren't.

A false friend and a shadow stay only while the sun shines.

Blessed is he who finds happiness in his own foolishness, for he will always be happy.
