Exercise

I started my own workout plan this past Sunday.  I do it six days a week and rest on Saturday.  Alternating between weights and cardio workouts.  I'm so out of shape, but it feels good to work out.  I hope to keep this up for a while.  I always do it for a little while and then stop.  I'm off to a good start though, so we'll see how long I can keep it up this time.  :)

A Take On Life

If you are unable to find tranquility within yourself, it is useless to seek it elsewhere.

When you tell the truth to people who misunderstand you, you are only promoting a falsehood.

It is nice to be important, but more important to be nice.

A tree is known by its fruits, not by its leaves.

Never explain - your friends don't need it and your enemies will not believe it anyhow.

It you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

To be who you are, your nervous system must first be free of who you aren't.

A false friend and a shadow stay only while the sun shines.

Blessed is he who finds happiness in his own foolishness, for he will always be happy.

Good Times...

I was just looking at some pictures of when I was at Walla Walla College (now University).  Those were some good times.  Sometimes I wish I could go back to some of those days when all my friends were together and before we went our separate ways.  Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my life now, but I just miss those days when we were together all the time.  Now we are all over the place and although we are still great friends, we're busy with our own lives and we don't see or talk to each other as often as we would like.  I guess it makes it extra special when we do get together.  Wouldn't it be great to be able to travel back in time and relive some of those fun times?

Time For A Change

Okay, I've had enough with my kind of job.  Dealing with people who just don't appreciate what I do for them, some are bossy, demanding, and just plain rude sometimes.  It's time for something different.  Sometimes I don't even know why I got into this kind of work in the first place.  Well, actually I do.  I was going to become a nurse once upon a time, but I changed my mind and know I'm kind of stuck doing CNA work.  For those of you who do not know what CNA stands for, it's Certified Nurses Assistant.  The residents where I work can be so rude to each other.  They pick a fight if someone sits in "their" spot at the table.  They call each other names.  Not the best language coming out of some of those mouths either.  You would think they were a bunch of two-year-olds.  There is even one resident who cries like a big baby.  Yep, definitely time for something different.  I was thinking of becoming a massage therapist.  I think it would be so much more peaceful, even though I'm sure there are some strange people to deal with, but I would only have to deal with one person at a time and it would be more relaxing with a quiet atmosphere.  Sure it could get busy, but it would be a different busy.  Besides, I'm good at massaging, and I love getting them, too.  Any thoughts?

My Mind Playing Tricks

Have you ever woken up and thought you were late to something such as work or school?  It happened to me this morning.  I woke up and the first thought I had was, "I forgot to set my alarm."  I looked at the time and it said 7:43am and I said out loud, "Oh shoot!".  As soon as I said it though, I realized it was my day off.  What a horrible feeling turned into one good feeling!

My First Blog

Well this is my first attempt at blogging.  I think this will be a lot of fun.  Not much to say right now, but more to come later.
